RIISS00063 – Traffic Management Designer Skill Set for Urban Streets and Low Volume Rural Roads/p>

Prerequisites:;Learners must provide evidence of completing either of the following options:

- RIISS00060 Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set for Urban Streets and Low Volume Roads; OR
- RIISS00061 Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set for High Volume Roads; OR
- RIISS00062 Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set for Motorways and Freeways

AND
At least 12 months experience applying the Skill Set skills and knowledge in a temporary traffic management workplace

AND
Provide evidence of relevant experience setting up at least 20 temporary traffic management types in at lease four of the following design types.
Pedestrian and cyclist controls, Construction sites, Lane closures, Night works, Shoulder closures, Use of portable traffic control devices, Motorways or freeways.
This option is for the For existing Designers, only during the Jurisdiction’s transition phase to the TTM National Training Framework (until Feb 2027)

Learner must be currently permitted in their jurisdiction to develop, review or audit traffic management designs or traffic guidance schemes
AND;
- Must provide evidence of currency of practice, from last 3 years, of designing, reviewing or auditing one of the following:
 12 traffic management plans (TMPs)
 12 traffic guidance schemes (TGSs) - The TMPs or TGSs must include at least four different worksite locations in the relevant jurisdiction, on either Category 1, 2 or 3 roads or sections of the network.
Learner must hold at least an AQF Level 6 qualification in a civil construction, traffic engineering or road design related field.

Course Overview:  This is a course for Learners who will be responsible for developing traffic management plans (TMP) and traffic guidance schemes (TGSs) on urban streets and low volume rural roads (Category 1).

This course consist of Training (3 Days) + Post Course Assessment to be completed and marked.
